Highlights: At Shillington, Lucas Garner and Shavan Prince each ran for a pair of touchdowns and Gov. Mifflin's defense held Reading High to 6 total yards in the second half as the Mustangs won their Berks Football League Section 1 opener 38-13 tonight.

Quarterback Hunter Reeser lifted the Mustangs with a 9-yard TD pass to Ajay Sczepkowski in the finals seconds of the first half for a 14-13 lead.

Garner finished with a game-high 125 yards on 22 carries for the Mustangs (2-2).

Miles Nessuno's interception and return to the Reading 5 set up Ben Myers' 23-yard field goal that made it 24-13 early in the fourth quarter.

The Red Knights (2-2) took a 13-7 lead on Jai Whitlock's 1-yard run with 8:59 to go in the first half, but Reading's offense stalled after that. The Red Knights managed just one first down in the second half and had negative rushing yards after halftime.
