Highlights:
Michal Menet blocked a punt to help change momentum and Nick Sarangoulis ran for a pair of touchdowns as Exeter defeated Gov. Mifflin 35-21 to clinch at least share of the Berks Football League Section 1 title at Don Thomas Stadium.
The Eagles (5-0, 9-0) overcame a 14-0, first-quarter deficit by taking advantage of a pair of fumbles by the Mustangs (4-1, 5-4) in the third quarter that set up short scores and a pair of touchdowns.
The Eagles went ahead 21-14 2 ½ minutes into the third quarter on Gabe Schappell's 10-yard pass to Matt Feeney six plays after they recovered a fumble at the Mifflin 40.
The Eagles had tied it 14-14 in the final minute of the first half on Schappell's 11-yard run.
The Mustangs took a quick lead, going up 7-0 when Hunter Reeser picked up a blocked punt around the 6 and took it in for a touchdown.Mifflin made it 14-0 when Lucas Garner broke off a 40-yard run to the 10, then finished off the drive with a 4-yard run with 2:02 left in the first period.
The Eagles settled down in the second quarter and got back into the game on the strength of their running game. After Menet blocked a punt, Nick Sarangoulis ran 34 yards to the 3, then scored from there one play later.
Exeter tied it 14-14 in the final minute of the first half when Schappell scrambled out of the pocket and scored on an 11-yard run.
