Highlights: Backup quarterback Gabe Schappell, making his first career start, rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns to lead Exeter over Conrad Weiser 35-20 in Berks I football at Robesonia Friday night.



Schappell, a 6-3, 215-pound natural tight end, carried 23 times and had a hand in all five of his team's touchdowns. His 84-yard TD with 7:58 left in the fourth quarter stretched the Eagles lead to 15 points. The senior also connected with All-State lineman Michal Menet on a TD pass. Menet lined up at tight end.



Pierce Brosious caught two touchdown passes for Weiser, which also had an electrifying 90-yard kickoff return for a score by Kwis Montinard.
