Highlights: Pottstown got off to a winning start in the Pioneer Athletic Conference and remained undefeated for the year with a 28-14 win over Boyertown at Grigg Memorial Field.

Brandon Tinson ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns for the Trojans (1-0, 3-0) and Isaiah Mayes gained 105 yards on the ground and also scored twice. Lawrence Garnett passed for 151 yards for the Bears (1-1, 1-2).

Mayes scored on a 1-yard run to open the scoring midway through the second quarter, not long after the Trojans recovered a fumble at the Bear 23 yard line, and Tinson made it 14-0 early in the third quarter on a 21-yard run. Boyertown closed to within a touchdown twice, but Mayes' 14-yard touchdown run with 1:45 to go wrapped up the win.
