Highlights: At Orwigsburg, the Eagles trailed for three quarters of what started as a defensive struggle, but broke through in the final period with 17 unanswered points to take control late and get a non-league win over the Crimson Tide.

Blue Mountain (3-0), which defeated Pottsville 41-0 last season, ran for 270 yards on 46 carries.

Lucas Forbes had 173 yards on 18 carries, including 117 in the second half, and scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Mike Kalyan had 20 carries for 88 yards and a TD for Blue Mountain, which fell behind 13-0 in the second quarter.

Both quarterbacks struggled as Pottsville’s Eric Wapinsky and Blue Mountain’s Mason Freed combined to go 8-for-22 for just 51 yards passing and five interceptions.

The Crimson Tide (0-3) managed only 103 total yards.
