Highlights: Isaac Ruoss ran for two touchdowns and blocked a punt to set up a third score as Gov. Mifflin overpowered visting Muhlenberg 35-0 tonight in a Berks Football League Section 1 game.

Ruoss ran for 111 yards on 17 carries, including TD runs of 6 and 10 yards in the first half.

His third-quarter punt block set up Kamron Wolfe's 12-yard return for a TD that gave the Mustangs (3-0, 6-1) a 21-0 lead.

Bryce Stubler's 72-yard interception return a minute later dropped the Muhls (0-3, 1-6) into a 28-0 hole.

The Muhls, playing without quarterback Drey Kipp and several other injured starters, struggled to move the ball. They were held to negative yardage in the second half and to just five first downs and 24 total yards for the game.

The win was the sixth straight for the Mustangs, who got a boost from the return of former head coach Mick Vecchio, who is out on a medical sabbatical this season.

Vecchio, recovering from multiple offseason surgeries, was filling in for an assistant coach who was away and helped run the offense.
