Highlights:
Justin Weller scored a pair of first-half touchdowns, one on a fumble return on the opening play of the game, as Wilson dominated Hempfield 38-7 in a Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 game at Gurski Stadium.
The win extends the Bulldogs’ league-record winning streak to 63 games and clinched at least a tie of the Section 1 title.
Iggy Reynoso ran for 191 yards and a TD for Wilson.
The Bulldogs (6-0, 8-1) went up 7-0 just 14 seconds into the game as Tommy O’Brien forced a fumble on Hempfield’s first play from scrimmage and Weller scooped it up and ran 25 yards for a TD.
The Bulldogs took a 17-0 lead on Weller’s 16-yard TD catch of a Grayson Kline pass 27 seconds before halftime.
Kline got the start in place of Connor Uhrig, who did not play after suffering a knee injury last week.
The Bulldogs came up with three key fourth-down stops in their own territory in the first half to keep the Black Knights (3-3, 3-6) off the board.
