Highlights: Marcus Wilson ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns as Berks Catholic held off Wyomissing to win the Berks Football League Section 2 championship and the annual "Backyard Brawl."

The Saints (5-0, 9-1) didn't put it away until the final minutes, when Brandon George broke off a 17-yard run for a TD with 4:39 left.

Brandon Westwood returned the ensuing kickoff 52 yards to Berks Catholic's 38 to keep the Spartans (4-1, 7-3) in it, but the Saints came up with a defensive stop at their own 24 to end the threat.

The Saints led 14-6 at the half after limiting Wyomissing to field goals after the Spartans twice drove inside the 10.

Wyomissing pulled within 14-12 when they took advantage of a short field and got a 1-yard touchdown run from Westwood. The Saints' pressured quarterback Avery Holt into an incomplete pass on the two-point conversion attempt to hold the lead.

Linebacker Trevor Leamer intercepted a pass on Wyomissing's second series and set the Saints up at the Spartans' 15. Four plays later Wilson scored from the 1 for a 7-0 lead.
