Highlights:
Micah Parsons ran for three touchdowns and led a dominant defensive effort as Harrisburg smothered Gov. Mifflin 46-21 in a District 3 Class 5A semifinal at Mifflin Stadium.
Parsons scored on runs of 7, 32 and 21 yards and spearheaded a defensive front that limited the top-seeded Mustangs (10-2) to 3 rushing yards in the first half.
The loss snapped Mifflin's 10-game win streak.
The fifth-seeded Cougars (9-3) used a pair of interception returns for TDs in the third quarter to extend their lead to 46-7.
Shaquon Anderson-Butts caught three passes for 111 yards, including a 69-yard TD bomb from Yahmir Wilkerson.
With their Mid-Line ground game taken away, the Mustangs were forced to the air and ended up throwing 30 passes -- practically a third of their total through their first 11 games.
Parsons finished with 92 yards on 10 carries.
Aaron Grill, Ajay Sczepkowski and Austin Baker scored TDs for Mifflin.
Harrisburg plays second-seeded Manheim Central (11-1) for the championship next Friday at 7 at Hersheypark Stadium.
