Highlights: Gov. Mifflin ran its offense to near-perfection, scoring on each of its first four possessions, and Isaac Ruoss scored four touchdowns in a 49-14 non-league victory over Manheim Township tonight at Gene Kruis Stadium.

The Mustangs (3-1) bounced back from a lopsided loss last week with their best effort of the season, switching to an I-formation and rushing for over 200 first-half yards.

Ruoss finished with 279 yards on 31 carries.

The Mustangs got long scoring runs from Darius Copeland, Bryce Stubler and Ruoss in dominating first-half play.

The defense was equally good, holding the Blue Streaks (2-1) to 7 first-half rushing yards; the Mustangs even recovered an onside kick after their second touchdown and turned it into a score four plays later for a 21-7 lead with 6:08 left in the second quarter.

The Blue Streaks' only first-half score came after Rece Bender's 62-yard kickoff return set up a short field. Luke Emge's 1-yard TD plunge and a PAT tied it 7-7.
