Highlights: Gov. Miffilin’s valiant bid for its first District 3 title came up painfully short as the Mustangs fell to Manheim Central 30-29 in the Class 5A championship at Hersheypark Stadium.

The top-seeded Barons (13-0) took the lead for good on Vinny Lester’s 33-yard touchdown catch with 3:51 remaining.

The second-seeded Mustangs (11-2) had taken a 29-23 lead on Michael Franks’ 49-yard touchdown catch, and a two-point conversion, with 4:52 remaining.
