Highlights:
Evan Simon’s 39-yard TD pass on the first play of the fourth quarter gave Manheim Central its first lead in a 20-10 non-league victory over Wilson tonight at Rettew Field.
The Bulldogs (2-2) led 10-0 in the second quarter but were hurt by a pair of turnovers deep in their own possession, one on a fumble, the other on a poor punt snap.
The Barons (4-0) took over on the Wilson 11 with 10 minutes remaining after the botched punt attempt and scored in two plays for a 10-point lead.
The Bulldogs went up 3-0 on Jack Wagner’s 22-yard field goal on the second play of the second quarter.
Troy Corson’s 33-yard punt return to the 20 set up Wilson’s next score, a 1-yard run by Elijah Morales that made it 10-0.
The Barons took advantage of a Wilson turnover at its own 10 to get a 3-yard TD pass from Simon to Jake Harbach, cutting it to 10-6.
