Highlights: Tim Kowalski rushed for 123 yards and a TD and Wyomissing's defense came up with six turnovers in holding off Littlestown 27-9 in a District 3 Class 3A quarterfinal today at the A-Field.

The third-seeded Spartans (9-2) had five interceptions, two each by Brayden Eberhart and Jevin Tranquillo and one by Max Hurleman.

Wyomissing built a 21-0 halftime lead but saw the sixth-seeded Thunderbolts (7-4) get back in it, with a safety and TD late in the third quarter.

Aidan Ciruilli hit a pair of field goals to extend the lead.

Hurleman rushed for 98 yards, including a 7-yard TD run, and quarterback Ben Terefenko scored on a 2-yard run.

Wyomissing advances to play at second-seeded Middletown next Friday at 7.

Middletown defeated Wyomissing in the Class 3A championship the past two seasons.
