Highlights: Coming off back-to-back losses, Conrad Weiser needed a fast start Friday night to boost its confidence.

Mission accomplished.

Weiser scored on three of its first four drives as it rolled to a 47-15 Section 1 rout of Reading High at Shirk Stadium.

The Scouts (3-1, 4-4) started fast. Logan Klitsch hit Owen Dautrich for a 51-yard catch-and-run touchdown 57 seconds into the game.

After a Reading three-and-out, Weiser needed just four plays to find the end zone again as Klitsch connected with CJ Civiello for a 9-yard score.

The Red Knights (2-3, 5-3) went for it on fourth down from deep in their own end twice, but came up short both times. The Scouts turned both of those turnovers on downs into points. They also got a 72-yard interception return by junior Gabe Trevena to go up 33-0.

Klitsch finished with 150 yards on 8-of-12 passing with two touchdowns. He also ran for a score in the third quarter. Dalton Moyer ran for 102 yards and two TDs on five carries for the Scouts.

Elijah Williams ran for 108 yards on 10 carries for the Red Knights, who dropped their second straight game.
