Highlights: LAURELDALE – The Muhlenberg Muhls were unable to overcome a big first half from unbeaten York Surburban as the Trojans tallied a 48-14 win on Friday night at Muhlenberg Stadium.



Muhlenberg fumbled the opening kickoff to give the Trojans good starting field position at the Muhls 30-yard line. From there, the Trojans would score in five plays to go up 7-0 on a two-yard run from Savion Harrison. Following a Muhls three-and-out, the Trojans would strike again as quarterback Max Reinecker sneaked it in from one-yard out on third and goal to go up 13-0 after a missed two-point conversion.



On the first play of the second quarter, Nate Banks took a short pass from backup quarterback Cam Brewer, and would spin out of two defenders tackle attempts to score on a 57-yard touchdown to go up 20-0. York Surburban then extended their lead to 27-0 in the second quarter on a three-yard score from Harrison at the 7:15-mark of the third quarter before making it a 34-0 game on a 67-yard run from David Moye three minutes later. Banks would set the Trojans final touchdown of the quarter up on a 56-yard punt return before Jamal Lewis punched it in from one-yard out with 2:39 left in the first half.



The Muhls then broke the shutout by going 90 yards in eight plays to make it a 41-7 game on a six-yard touchdown pass from Justin Solensky to Alex Shipe at the 10:27-mark of the fourth quarter. Matthew Hnatuick would force a fumble on the first play of the ensuing Trojan drive that gave the Muhls the ball back at the York Surburban 30-yard line. The Muhls took advantage of the turnover as Aaron Shuker scored on an eight-yard touchdown run on third and goal.



The Trojans held a 450-153 total yards advantage for the game with 339 yards coming on the ground. Muhlenberg had just 16 total yards at halftime before gaining 137 in the second half
