Highlights:
From Elverson, Twin Valley used a smothering defense and capitalized on six Muhlenburg turnovers to earn a 42-6 victory.
Raiders sophomore tailback Dominic Caruso led a rushing attack that produced 239 yards. He carried the ball almost exclusively between the tackles, gaining 74 yards on 23 carries.
Caruso scored on runs of 3 and 4 yards in the first half to stake Twin Valley (1-3, 2-5) to a 14-0 lead at the break. On the first offensive snap of the third quarter, the Raiders extended their lead to 21-0 on a 37-yard flea flicker pass from quarterback Ryan Scheivert to Trey Freeman.
Later in the third quarter, Freeman would add a 29-yard touchdown run, and linebacker Garrett Tinsley scored on a 50-yard fumble return to put the game away.
The Raiders held Muhlenburg (0-3, 0-7) to six first downs and only 129 yards of total offense.
