Highlights: Chanz Stevens' 1-yard TD run in the second quarter gave the Panthers (1-0, 1-1) the lead for good in a Berks Football League Section 2 victory over the Cougars (0-1, 0-1) at Kutztown Friday.

The Cougars, bidding to snap a 30-game losing streak, took a 10-7 first-quarter lead on Marlon Creech's 30-yard TD run.

Lennon Neiman had two receptions for 110 yards for Kutztown and rushed for a game-high 83 yards.

Nate Schaeffer had six catches for the Panthers, including a 21-yard TD from Drew Campbell.

Campbell led Schuylkill Valley with 12 tackles.
