Highlights: Colby Newton and Connor Gundersen each ran for a pair of first-half touchdowns as Berks Catholic defeated Muhlenberg 47-14 Friday in a Berks Football League Section 1 game at Laureldale.

The Saints (3-0, 4-2) led 47-0 at halftime and kept alive their hopes for a Section 1 title; they'll play at Gov. Mifflin next week to decide the championship.

The Saints rushed 36 times for 338 yards.

Aaron Shuker ran for a pair of touchdowns for the Muhls (0-4, 0-6).

Trace Brown caught a 27-yard TD pass from Brad Hoffman for Berks Catholic.

Justin Small ran nine times for 91 yards for the Saints.
