Highlights:
At Neffsville, Rodney Gillin ran for 210 yards and caught a touchdown pass and the Bulldogs (5-0, 7-1) pounded the Blue Streaks (4-1, 6-2) on the ground -- offensively and defensively -- to take the battle that will likely decide Lancaster-Lebanon Section 1.
Gillin's monster game pushed him past the 1,000-yard mark for the season and moved him within 57 yards of becoming the 20th Berks player to reach 3,000 for his career.
Wilson held Manheim Township to just 36 rushing yards on 25 carries, yielding only a 58-yard bomb from Brennan Scott to Kyle Bushong with 5 minutes to play.
In a game billed as a clash of titans, the Bulldogs were never seriously threatened; had they not turned the ball over twice and committed 98 yards' worth of penalties, it could have been all the more lopsided.
Wilson quarterback Seth Klein was a solid 7-for-8 for 99 yards and a 30-yard TD to Gillin late in the first half. Klein also ran 11 yards for the game's first touchdown late in the first quarter.
For full details, see Jerry Reimenschneider's game story in Saturday's Reading Eagle.
