At Don Thomas Stadium, Abdul MacFoy ran for 120 yards and two scores on eight carries as the visiting Saints opened the season with a rout of the Eagles.

Leading 3-0 after the first quarter, Berks Catholic put together a series of big plays to take command. Brandon George scored on a 55-yard burst, then MacFoy raced into the end zone from 79 yards out. Terry Derr connected with Luke Painton for a 30-yard touchdown pass 15 seconds before the half.

George finished with 87 yards on seven carries, and Derr was 6-of-14 for 105 yards. Exeter sophomore Jeremiah Nixon ran for a game-high 131 yards on 28 carries, and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass to put his team on the board with 6:05 to play.
