Highlights: Drew Gunther threw three touchdown passes and for a school-record 386 yards and Malvern Prep defeated Berks Catholic 42-32 tonight in a non-league game.

The Saints (3-2) moved the ball well on the ground, rushing for 321 yards, but couldn't keep up with the Friars (4-0) and their dangerous receivers.

The Friars' point total was the second-most ever produced against the Saints.

The teams combined for nearly 900 total yards.

The Saints got a 9-yard TD pass from Terrance Derr to Luke Painton with 3:40 left, then recovered an onside kick. Their drive stalled at the Malvern 36.

Brandon George and Abdul MacFoy each rushed for over 100 yards for the Saints.

George put the Saints on top with a 78-yard run on the second play of the game.

The Friars answered on Ryan Maguire's 58-yard touchdown catch.

MacFoy gave Berks Catholic a 13-7 lead with 7:07 left in the first half, but the Saints couldn't get off a PAT attempt.

Prep went up 14-13 with 4:09 left in the first half on Nick Gueriera's 1-yard run and a PAT from Sebastian Constantini.
