Highlights: Berks Catholic used big plays in both the passing and running game to bull past Wyomissing 28-7 today, capturing the Berks Football League Section 2 championship and the Keeley-Wolfrum Trophy at the A-Field.

The win was the third straight for Berks Catholic in the "Backyard Brawl" and fourth in a row overall.

Abdul MacFoy’s 76-yard TD run with 2:24 left clinched it for the Saints (5-0, 8-2).

The Spartans (4-1, 8-2) took advantage of a short field and scored on their first possession but were kept out of the end zone the rest of the afternoon. They were held to a season-low 170 total yards.

Wyomissing put together two long drives but were stopped twice in the red zone, once on a fumble, once on downs.

The Saints scored on each of their first two possessions go up 14-7.

Luis Garcia pulled in a 38-yard TD pass from Terrance Derr for the first score and Brandon George capped a 70-yard drive with a 15-yard run.

The Spartans tied it 7-7 on Ben Terefenko’s 13-yard TD pass to J.T. Gaza.

George scored his second TD on 23-yard run for 21-7 lead on the final play of the third quarter.
